Musica Baltica in foreign countries' markets (27/06/2015)
‘’Musica Baltica’’ chief executive, professional musician, choral conductor, sheet music editor and typesetter Andris Sējāns took part in the German Choral Conductors’ Forum in Limburg from the 23rd- 25th January, leading six sessions singing through scores, introducing German conductors to Latvian choral music, Musica Baltica publications, the most significant composers including Ēriks Ešenvalds, Rihards Dubra, Selga Menca, Pēteris Plakidis, Arturs Maskats, Valts Pūce, Jēkabs Jančevskis, Vytautas Miškinis, Vaclovas Augustinas and others. During the forum an exhibition of Musica Baltica music publications, which was left to the library of the German Centre of Choral Music, was put together. Around 150 conductors took part in the forum.
Meanwhile, from the 25th to the 28th February 2015 he took part in the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) National Conference, introducing several thousand conductors, and thereby reaching over a million US choral singers, to Musica Baltica publications and the most significant composers. A stand showing Musica Baltica music publications was displayed, and countless discussions took place as well as a masterclass and premiere by the composer Ēriks Ešenvalds.
From the 15th to the 18th April 2015 Musica Baltica took part in the Frankfurt Musikmesse 2015, introducing representatives of European and World music and Musikmesse participants to Latvian music, Musica Baltica publications, our most significant composers, such as Ēriks Ešenvalds, Rihards Dubra, Arturs Maskats, Juris Karlsons, Andris Dzenītis and others. An exhibition of Musica Baltica music and advertising material was set out in stand no. 3.1 B29, where countless discussions and meetings also took place. As a result large music orders, public performances, and commissions of new music from our composers are expected.
